Community Survey (Tree Replacement)
It is with great sadness that the Board announces the removal of our iconic Ficus tree in Bayshore Gardens Park. After the last two major hurricanes, the tree suffered extensive saltwater damage. Multiple arborists were consulted, and despite our best efforts, the tree was declared dead and had become a safety hazard due to the risk of falling branches and large sheets of bark.
Our Long-Term Planning Committee is now seeking your input on how best to reimagine and honor the space the tree once occupied. The Committee’s initial recommendation is to replace the gathering space—where many weddings and special events were held—with a community pavilion or gazebo. Before moving forward, we want to be sure this reflects the wishes of our residents.
We invite you to review several proposed design styles here and vote for your preferred option in our community survey. Thank you!
